Here’s Speaker Calvin K.Y. Say when he was a young 25 year old State Representative and working as a bus boy at Flamingo Chuckwagon. Say graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in education, but he remained loyal to the restaurant and its owners.
Say’s humbleness is a character trait that’s much needed in politics. It is one of the reasons members of the Hawaii House of Representatives voted to make him the longest serving Hawaii Speaker at 14 years.
We really appreciate your support for the upcoming 2020 election. Speaker Emeritus Calvin K.Y. Say is running for the Honolulu City Council District 5, which consists of Kaimuki, Palolo Valley, St. Louis Heights, Manoa, Moiliili, McCully, and portions of Ala Moana, Kakaako, and Makiki.
