We did it, ‘Ohana! I woke up this morning to headlines of the Primary Election results and am looking forward to a new chapter of public service in the City Council representing District 5.
It looks like we have secured the City Council District 5 seat in the Primary, and we are just waiting for the office of elections to certify the results. Regardless of the outcome, your dedication and hard work through this campaign is something to be celebrated!
Words can’t express how grateful I am for all the support from friends, family, constituents, and the community as a whole – not just throughout this campaign, but through my 40+ years of service. Your words of encouragement, moral support, partnerships, friendships – these things keep me going even when times get tough.
I have to send a special thank you to my wife Cora, and sons Geoffrey and Jared. You have stood behind me through highs and lows, and I would not be where I am today without you.
I look forward to this new adventure in the City Council and will continue to strive to do my best in serving you all with passion and integrity. There is much to be done and I am ready to roll up my sleeves and work collaboratively with my colleagues as we face an uphill battle dealing with the long-term effects of the pandemic.
Again, a HUGE MAHALO to everyone! Please reach out to me at email@example.com if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for District 5.
With much aloha,
Calvin K.Y. Say
